Write with Claude or ChatGPT, then save your posts straight to Postalrios, without copying and pasting. Your assistant can add images and, if you allow it, schedule posts or publish them to LinkedIn. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), a standard way for AI assistants to work with other apps.
01What your assistant can do.
- Save the posts it writes as drafts in your content areas, each with a topic that becomes its title on your board and calendar.
- Give a draft an image: one it sends itself, or one Postalrios generates in your image style. It can show you a generated image before it approves the post.
- Edit, approve, and delete drafts, and read your posts, content areas, credits, and preferred publishing window, and your campaigns and company pages.
- Schedule, move, and unschedule posts, or publish right away, if you allow it.
02You stay in control.
- It reaches only your account. Every API key and connected app has its own permissions: reading and drafts by default, scheduling and publishing only when you turn them on.
- Generating an image makes the post unapproved, and only an approved post can be scheduled or published. Your assistant can approve it without showing you the image, so ask it to show you the image first.
- A scheduled post's text and image change only after it is unscheduled; its time and topic can change while it stays scheduled.
- We email you when a key or app gets access or more permissions. Settings shows each one's recent changes and refused or failed requests, and you can revoke it at any time.
03What it costs.
Creating a post through your own AI assistant (AI integrations) uses 1 credit, which includes the first image your assistant asks Postalrios to generate for that post. Each further image it generates uses 1 credit, and images you generate in the Postalrios editor use credits as usual. Reading, editing, approving, scheduling, and publishing these posts, and images your assistant provides itself, use no credits. Deleting a post does not refund its credit. Asking Postalrios to write a campaign's storyline uses 1 credit. Creating a post, and any further generated image, needs credits: an active free trial or a paid plan.
04Connect Claude or ChatGPT.
First sign in to Postalrios and add an interest, a subject you post about: your assistant saves each post under one, and can't create one itself.
In Claude, add a custom connector; in ChatGPT, open Plugins and add a custom MCP server. Enter https://app.postalrios.com/mcp, sign in to Postalrios, and allow access. Then turn Postalrios on in your chat. You don't need an API key for this.
A new connection can read your posts and save drafts. To let it schedule or publish, allow that in Postalrios, under Settings, AI integrations.
Whether you can add one depends on your assistant's plan and workspace settings. See the guides for Claude and ChatGPT.
05Try asking.
- Save the post we just wrote to Postalrios as a draft. Ask me which content area to use, and don't schedule it.
- Generate an image for my newest draft and show it to me. Approve the post only after I say I like the image.
- Which of my scheduled posts have no image yet?
06Developer setup: Claude Code, Cursor, and custom agents.
These connect with an API key, a secret access code. Create one in Postalrios, under Settings, AI integrations, choose what it may do, and put it in place of <key> below, keeping Bearer in front of it. The key is shown only once: keep it private, and never put it in a file you commit to a repository.
Claude Code, for all your projects:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user postalrios https://app.postalrios.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer <key>"
Cursor, in your global ~/.cursor/mcp.json, not a project's .cursor/mcp.json, which is often committed:
{
"mcpServers": {
"postalrios": {
"url": "https://app.postalrios.com/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <key>"
}
}
}
}
Other MCP clients: the server URL is https://app.postalrios.com/mcp, with the key sent as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
07Tools.
The technical names of the actions your assistant can take, by the permission each one needs. You ask in plain language; you don't need to type them.

Deleting a scheduled post also needs Schedule. Scheduling, publishing, moving or unscheduling a company page's post, or deleting it once scheduled, also needs Company pages, which you allow per key or app.
08Limits.
Each key or connected app can make up to 60 requests a minute, and all of them together up to 120. Requests without a valid key or connection are limited to 120 a minute for each network address. Across your account, assistants can create up to 30 new posts an hour, schedule or publish up to 10 posts a day, and keep up to 200 unpublished posts they created. Images your assistant sends can be JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 7 MB.
